Ok. I want to post about the absolutely AMAZING gig my band had the other night, but folks, I'm tired. Much too tired to delve into the emotional well that holds the experiences of Saturday night when dozens of people were pressed against the stage, singing our songs right back to us while we played. Plus I don't have the pictures yet. So instead, I'll go 'head and do one of these here meme things, 'cause it's easy, and I figure I can talk shit about some of the items presented. I got this from Fyrchk, Bringer of Jonx. Enjoy! Instructions: 1. Go to Wikipedia.org 2. In the Search box, type your birth month and day (but not year). 3. List three events that happened on your birthday. 4. List two important birthdays and one interesting death. 5. One holiday or observance (if any). December 10 Events: 1041 - Empress Zoe of Byzantium elevates her adoptive son to the throne of the Eastern Roman Empire as Michael V. I'm just impressed that in 1041, "Zoe" was a named being used my royalty anywhere. I suppose Emperor Forrest and Empress Tiffany were also popular royal names. 1836 - Emory College (now Emory University) is chartered in Oxford, Georgia. Black people couldn't get in then, either. 1869 - Wyoming grants women the right to vote. What's funny is that there were only 6 women in the entire state of Wyoming at the time. And three of them were just lost on their way to Oregon. 1906 - U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt wins the Nobel Peace Prize, becoming the first American to win a Nobel Prize of any kind. Teddy Roosevelt shot a whole lot of folks when he was a Rough Rider, but I bet they just scratched out that whole "Peace" part when they gave it to him at gunpoint. 1993 - First release of Doom, one of the most popular shoot-em'up PC videogames. Notice they don't even mention the movie. So I did more than three. Bite me. Births 1957 - Michael Clarke Duncan, American actor...and very large black man. 1980 - Alexa Rae, American pornographic actress. Holla. Deaths 2005 - Richard Pryor, American comedian and actor (b. 1940). R.I.P., Rich. Observance: Dark Damian Better Be Getting Some Gifts From You, Dammit Day I'm not tagging anyone, 'cause that's just rude. But for shits and giggles, go wiki your own birthdate and see what comes up. Casual Observation: How do you NOT know when your boob is hanging completely out of your top when you're jumping up and down? Peace.
